the one with BlogBank's Blogspot problem

The following post is a copy of the comment that I tried to post on the article "Ad codes on Blogspot Blogs" on BlogBank's official blog. This post is also the one that I emailed to them to which Mr. Markku Seguerra replied to.

Comment/Email:

The problem that I see with this is blogspot refactoring the code for your ads and that refactored code does not work.

Sample original code:

Sample code that has been refactored by blogspot:

I refactored the code myself so that the code would still work even if blogspot refactor it.

Sample code that I have refactored:

The ads are now working on my blog. I'm just wondering if what I did, refactoring the code, is permitted and, like marhgil's question, do you guys still properly track the ads, even if I refactored it?

Mr. Markku Seguerra's reply:

" Hi Maruel, thanks for trying to find a solution for this. I will be checking if tracking still works as intended and will get back to you right away. =) "

I think this problem also has a connection on whether you are using layouts or templates. I'm using layouts and I had the same problem like everybody else while marhgil uses templates and he does not have a problem and just copy-paste the code.

So, that's what I did. I just don't know if its ok to them that I refactored their code. I'm temporarily assuming that it's ok because of the smiley =) at the end their reply, hehe! :D Lets just wait for their next post about this issue. I hope they are still properly tracking the ads I placed.

Just visit their site to know what BlogBank is all about. Sorry if I don't have any post about what BlogBank really is.

@EntrepreNars...

Medyo mahirap kasi in detail eh, hehe! :)
